If you have the time to spend, a vehicle to drive, and a clear blue sky, we recommend going for a scenic drive to view the breathtaking natural wonders of the Pacific Northwest. The Oregon Coast Drive time is approximately 2.5-3 hours and there are many sights to see along the way. There are a few different routes you can take that will lead you to different destinations. Each set of directions begins at our offices in Lloyd Center. Seaside Lincoln City – sights along the way include the Tillamook Cheese Factory, and Spirit Mountain Casino– see links Tillamook Cheese Factory Spirit Mountain Casino The Columbia Gorge / Scenic Highway TakeI-84 headed east to the Columbia Gorge Scenic Highway. The winding road of the scenic highway will deliver you to Multnomah Falls while simultaneously captivating you along the way with breathtaking views of the Columbia River Gorge. Be sure to stop at the Vista House at Crown Point, as well as the many other rest stops and view points. Multnomah Falls is the second tallest year-round waterfall in the nation. It only takes about 30 minutes to get there, and it’s a great place to stop for lunch! http://www.multnomahfallslodge.com/ Mount St. Helens Where were you when the mountain erupted in 1980? This seismically active volcano still smokes. http://www.mountsthelens.com Mount Hood If you like to ski or snowboard, this is the place to go in the winter months. http://www.mthood.info |
