Other Portland Attractions Grouped by district Lloyd District Lloyd Center Mall – The largest shopping complex in the area with 200+ shops, eateries and professional businesses. Take in a movie at one of the two onsite theaters, play in the arcade, go ice skating or check out the other seasonal events that take place in the Ice Chalet, enjoy tax-free shopping and a wide array of restaurants with cuisine for any palate. The Rose Quarter - http://www.rosequarter.com The Rose Quarter is the home of the Trail Blazers, Winter Hawks and LumberJax. It includes the 20,000-seat Rose Garden, the 12,000-seat Memorial Coliseum, the 6,500-seat Theater of the Clouds, the 40,000-square foot Exhibit Hall and the Rose Quarter Commons. Oregon Convention Center - With half a million square feet of space, four separate exhibit halls and 28 individual meeting rooms, the Oregon Convention Center does a lot of business, to say the least. The OCC hosts everything from business forums to expos to rock concerts. And patrons don't go hungry either--there are five permanent food and beverage locations on-site. Hawthorne District / SE Portland Hawthorne Blvd - The Hawthorne District is a popular avant-garde neighborhood just across the Willamette River from Downtown that runs along Hawthorne Boulevard between 17th and 43rd Avenues. The Boulevard is lined with locally-owned coffee shops, antique stores, cafes, and trendy clothing shops. Hawthorne has a rich nightlife and many of the pubs have sidewalk seating. Landmarks are: Powell's Books Annex, the Hawthorne Bridge (the oldest vertical lift bridge in operation in the United States), and the Bagdad Theater & Pub, a Portland relic owned and restored to its original glory by the local McMenamins chain. The Bagdad offers the usual pub fare as well as craft beers and second-run movies at reasonable prices. Oregon Ballet Theatre - Established in 1989, OBT’s celebrated company of dancers performs an annual five-program season at the Portland Center for the Performing Arts and also conducts both regional and national tours. OMSI - The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry features many permanent and special exhibits, the OMNIMAX Theater, submarine and planetarium. Downtown Vera Katz Eastbank Esplanade - The Vera Katz Eastbank Esplanade is 1.5 miles long, extending north from the Hawthorne Bridge, past the Morrison and Burnside Bridges, to the Steel Bridge with connections to eastside neighborhoods as well as across the river to Gov.
