The Portland music scene is bustling and there are many smaller venues here where big name entertainers played before they got big. If you are interested in seeing a show while you are in town here are some recommended places to check out.
Berbati’s Pan - Berbati restaurant serves authentic Greek cuisine as well as bar favorites, and offers a wide array of entertainment, from monthly local art shows to pool tables, pinball and video poker to independent film (or the night’s ballgame) projected onto our huge screen. Berbati’s Pan is host to quality live music from all over the world, most nights. Dante’s Inferno - The club was opened in February 2000 in a turn-of-the-century building that has formerly housed a brothel, a flop-house, an early 1980s punk rock club, a Mongolian grill restaurant, a speak-easy and a gambling den. Dante's offers a classic, dark, lush atmosphere with award-winning pizza. Roseland Theater – One of the larger venues in the Entertainment District downtown. Crystal Ballroom – This historic venue is famous for its wooden bouncy ballroom floor. Part of the McMenamins family of theater pubs and resorts dotting the state of Oregon, it’s one of the larger venues downtown. Wonder Ballroom - The Wonder Ballroom is a beautifully restored historic building constructed in 1914. With vaulted ceilings and plenty of free parking, the Wonder Ballroom is a versatile facility for a wide variety of performances and events. The Doug Fir – The complex also houses the Jupiter Hotel, onsite tattoo parlor and cutting edge hair salon. |
